Workshop: On the transitory nature of natural phenomena
A workshop that focuses on strengthening the relationship between humans and nature. Human-centred ideas on man's position in the natural world have characterised our history from its earliest age. With the advent of climate change propelled by human activities it becomes ever more important to explore our ideas on how we connect with nature. Discussions and debates on mankind's lack of connection with the natural world can be channelled to address questions and thoughts on whether we can relate better to nature by listening more closely to our inner voice. Can we connect with nature by exploring our own thoughts, emotions and aesthetic experiences?
The workshop includes a series of independent but interconnected participatory projects open to all Cultural Night guests. Emphasis will be placed on participants discussing the relationship between humans and nature while relating these discussions to current exhibitions at Kjarvalsstaðir.
