Children's Culture Festival: Native Birds of our Imagination, and their habitats
In citywide collaborative project students from Landakotsskóli have made artworks from a range of media which explore and celebrate our native birds in all their natural wonder.
In these times of global warming as we listen to the news of animals under threat, how do we process our feelings of anxiety and fear? One answer might be to try to strengthen our connection to the natural world and to increase our understanding of the environment around us. We can study the natural world around us, learn the names of the birds and plants that surround us, and use this knowledge to deepen our relationship with our own habitat.
