Artist Talk: Bára Kristinsdóttir and Ólöf Nordal

Verk eftir Ólöfu Nordal og Báru Kristinsdóttur
Event location:

Artists Kristinsdóttir and Nordal talk to visitors about their works in the exhibition KINGDOM – Flora, Fauna, Fable.

Kristinsdóttir shows the photographic series Bait from 2007 and Nordal shows the sculptures Three Lambs and a Calf from 2009. These works are inspired by ideas on how we tend to transfer conceptual value and meaning onto nature. Kristinsdóttir considers the hierarchy of nature in terms of human utilization, and Nordal brings to the present old myths regarding the wonders of nature.

The talk takes about an hour. The museum is open to 10 p.m. all Thursday evenings and the café offers delicacies. Access to the talk is included in the museum ticket.

Free entrance with a museum ticket and for holders of Annual Pass/Culture Pass.
