Exhibition Opening - Anna Guðjónsdóttir: Pars Pro Toto

On Thursday, 21 February at 17:00, Anna Guðjónsdóttir’s exhibition, Pars Pro Toto, will open in Hafnarhúsið, A-Hall.

The last day of the exhibition Ground Level by Ingólfur Arnarsson at Hafnarhúsi is Sunday, 10 February. 

Eyborg Guðmundsdóttir: Partition I, 1966.

On Museum Night, Friday, 8 February at 17h00 sees the opening of a retrospective of the career of artist Eyborg Guðmundsdóttir (1924-1977) in Reykjavík Art Museum at Kjarvalsstaðir.

Palm Trees, the German artist Karin Sander’s proposal, is the winner of the competition for outdoor artwork in Vogabyggð. The selection committee’s choice was announced in Reykjavík Art Museum, Kjarvalsstaðir, this afternoon.

Spectrum: Last days and Artist Talk

The last day of the exhibition Spectum at Kjarvalsstaðir is Sunday, 27 January.

Exhibition opening: Under the Same Sky & Intimacy and Sculpture

2019 is a year of public art at Reykjavík Art Museum. To mark this, two exhibitions will be opened in Ásmundarsafn; a new overview of Ásmundur Sveinsson’s works, Under the Same Sky, and a solo exhibition by Sigurður Guðmundsson, Intimacy and Sculpture.

Due to change of exhibitions, Ásmundarsafn will be closed until 19 January 2019. On that day a new exhibition, dedicated to art in public space, will be openend.

Exhibition Opening − Ingólfur Arnarsson: Ground Level

New works by Ingólfur Arnarsson will be presented in Gallery A in Hafnarhús. Arna Schram, Director of Culture and Tourism for the City of Reykjavík, will open the exhibition.
