Ásmundarsafn is open from 1–8 p.m. every Thursday in January. The museum is open from 1–5 p.m. all other days.

Reykjavík Art Museum closes today at 4:30 due to weather conditions. Hafnarhús, Kjarvalsstaðir and Ásmundarsafn will be closed from that time. The Icelandic Meteorological Office has issued a weather warning for today, Monday.

Christmas Creatures of Reykjavík is a special project created for the City of Reykjavík. The idea is to promote Icelandic folklore and connect locals and visitors in Reykjavík through stories and conversations.

The book Just Painted represents photographs of all the works in the exhibitions Just Painted 1 at Hafnarhús and Just Painted 2 at Kjarvalsstaðir – Reykjavík Art Museum, that were on show this year.
