Ásmundur Sveinsson – The architect, Ásmundarsafn Sunday 7 April 2 p.m.

Held in relation to the 120th birthdate of Icelandic artist Ásmundur Sveinsson, Reykjavík Art Museum - Ásmundarsafn will offer a series of events related to different aspects of the artist´s life and work.

Next Sunday 7 April at 2 p.m. Pétur Ármannsson architect discusses the Ásmundur Sveinsson´s buildings both at Freyjugata and at Sigtún. Ásmundur constructed the houses mostly himself and they can be considered as an important element in his art. Moderator is Þorgrímur Gestsson writer.
The event will take place in Icelandic.

Artist Guðrún Erla Geirsdóttir (GERLA) discusses Ásmundur´s aspect and thought towards women in relation to his works.

Works by Ásmundur Sveinsson in Public Space
Sunday 2 June 2 p.m.
Art historian Þorbjörg Gunnarsdóttir discusses the work of Ásmundur Sveinsson in public space. The tour will lead from the sculpture garden in Sigtún to various locations throughout the city.
