“It´s just a swamp” - Reykjavik Art Museum, Hafnarhús, Thursday September 20 at 20:00
The designers of the exhibition, “Life in the Vatnsmýri”, Brynhildur Pálsdóttir industrial designer and the Magnea Guðmyndsdóttir architect, will give a talk next Thursday. They will reflect the exhibition design process along with telling about the cross disciplinary approach to the phenomenon nature.
The lecture takes place at the Reykjavik Art Museum - Hafnarhús, Thursday September 20 at 20:00 and is in Icelandic. Entrance is free and open to all.
The seminar is a part of The Iceland Design Centre’s lecture series in collaboration with The Iceland Academy of the Arts and The Reykjavík Art Museum, Hafnarhús.
The exhibition, “Life in the Vatnsmýri”, tells the story of the diverse life and history of the moorland Vatnsmýri and offers visitors the opportunity to learn more about nature's role in the city, and the city's role in nature. An exhibition on birds, plants and people in the Vatnsmýri moor, the role of nature in the city and the importance of reclaiming wetlands.
