Erró: Power of Images - Lecture, Hafnarhús, sunday 9 September 3 p.m.
Sunday 9 September at 3 p.m., art historian Æsa Sigurjónsdóttir will give a talk on the work of Icelandic artist Erró.
Erró (born Guðmundur Guðmundsson in 1932 in Ólafsvík, Iceland) settled in Paris in 1958. Turning 80 years old earlier this year he has a remarkable carrier and has held a great number of private exhibitions all over the world, and his works have been presented in an even larger number of group exhibitions. His art is represented in museums and public institutions in a number of countries worldwide.
Æsa Sigurjónsdóttir is an art historian living and working in Reykjavik and Paris. She has worked as curator, editor, art critic, researcher and is currently teaching at the University of Iceland.
