Reykjavík Art Museum is committed to actively participate in ambitious projects in music, dance, film and other arts. One of those festivals that RAM has renewed its cooperation with year after year is Reykjavik Dance Festival. This year some of the festival performances take place in Hafnarhusid on Thursday 8th and Saturday the 10th of September.

Thursday 8 September at 12:15 p.m. and Saturday 10th. of September at 5 p.m.
At this event the lines between different art forms are eradicated. Artist Bjargey Ólafsdóttir represents Reykjavik Dance Festival in a event in cooperation with Tinna Þorsteinsdóttir, the founder of the music group Jaðarber, who recently joined Reykjavik Art Museum.

Saturday 10th of September at 1:00, 2:15 and 16 p.m.
Inspired by the world of birds and the book Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach. It is based on movement, photographs, sounds and music. Choreographers and dancers are Guðrún Óskarsdóttir and Karen Rosenberg, photographs by Uri Rosenberg, sound and music by Lydia Grétarsdóttir.
