Architecture- ARKÍS. Hafnarhús, Thursday 3 March at 5 p.m.

Náttúrufræðistofnun í Urriðaholti

ARKÍS, an awarded, progressive architecture firm in Iceland, will introduce its recent works and projects. ARKÍS has been operating since 1997 and its works and projects span all levels of architecture, planning and design. In addition, ARKÍS offers consulting on sustainable design and BREEAM assessments.

The lecture is organized in relation to the exhibition Without destination now on show at Reykjavik Art Museum – Hafnarhús. The exhibition reveals how Icelandic and international artists work through different connections with locations and places, be they nearby or remote in space or time. Their works reflect ideas in contemporary art about travel, places and non-places, and the topography of the mind and of the landscape.

The event will take place in Icelandic, is free and open to everyone.
