My Ásmundur

Today Ásdís Ásmundsdóttir, daughter of the sculptor Ásmundur Sveinsson handed out the first prize award in a competition for a design object that reflects the spirit of Sveinsson‘s art. The winners are the designers Edda Gylfadóttir, Guðrún Hjörleifsdóttir and Helga Björg Jónasardóttir with the three dimensional puzzle called My Ásmundur. The object will be on display in Ásmundur Sveinsson Sculpture Museum for two weeks (until 16 May) along with other fourteen proposals which the jury found noteworthy. The competition is organized by Reykjavik Art Museum, Kraum-design shop, and The Icelandic Design Center. Print Go back
