The Technology Development Fund. Hafnarhús – Thursday 11 February at 8 p.m.
At this lecture, held in collaboration with The Iceland Design Center, an introduction and talks about The Technology Development Fund will be given with special emphazises on design and architecture. Speakers are Sigurður Björnsson head of Innovation and Development at the Division of Science and Innovation, Róshildur Jónsdóttir designer and Aðalsteinn Snorrason architect.
The Technology Development Fund
The role of the fund is to support research and development activities, which aim towards innovation in Icelandic industry. The Technology Development Fund is a competitive one and invites proposals by advertisement twice a year within a specific submission deadline.

The Icelandic Centre for Research (RANNIS)
The Icelandic Centre for Research (RANNIS) supports research, research studies, technical development and innovation in Iceland. RANNIS cooperates closely with the Icelandic Science and Technology Policy Council and provides professional assistance the preparation and implementation of science and technology policy in Iceland. RANNIS administers competitive funds and strategic research programmes, coordinates and promotes Icelandic participation in collaborative international projects in science and technology, monitors resources and performance in R&D and promotes public awareness of research and innovation in Iceland.
