CLOSING DATE FOR FROM UNUHÚS TO WEST 8TH STREET. KJARVALSSTAÐIR – SUNDAY 30 AUGUST

The exhibition is focusing on two of the most influential women artists in the Icelandic art scene in the mid of the 20th century; namely Nína Tryggvadóttir and Louisa Matthíasdóttir. Besides works form Nína and Louisa, works form their contemporaries NY-artists, Nell Blaine (1922–1996), Jane Freilicher (1924) and Robert De Niro, Senior (1922–1993) are also displayed along with their art-school master, Hans Hofmann. Curator is Hrafnhildur Schram.
Kjarvalsstaðir is open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Entrance is free of charge.
