POLITICS AND VISUAL LANGUAGE, THURSDAY 12 FEBRUARY 8 PM. HAFNARHÚS
A series of lecture organized by The Icelandic Design Centre in cooperation with Reykjavik Art Museum. In this lecture Guðmundur Oddur Magnússon, professor in graphic design at the Iceland Academy of the Arts, discusses political graphics and imagery on posters, photographs and emblems.
He talks about important elements in the history of graphical language of political protests and propaganda and compares it with the current situation in the center of Reykjavik.
The lecture is in Icelandic and is open to all. Entrance is free.
