Attersee – Dance in Shirt-Valley
3 September - 6 November 2011
Hafnarhús
Reykjavik Art Museum recently received a generous donation of graphic works from the Austrian artist Christian Ludwig Attersee and his gallerist and compatriot Ernst Hilger. This donation comprises 63 works created in the period 1970 – 2010, and many of them are exhibited here. Attersee’s imagery resembles collages or pop-art but with unexpected surrealist narrative. The works are simultaneously figurative and full of humour, often with erotic overtones. Curated by Danielle Kvaran.
